About the Capuchins
Capuchins preach, teach, cook, and counsel. We minister
in hospitals, schools, soup kitchens, parishes, and in the mission
fields. We are pastors, artists, educators, lawyers, social workers,
missionaries, farmers, mechanics, and writers. Our lives are rooted
in commitment to God, to Christ, to the Franciscan philosophy, to
the individuals we serve and to those who serve with us. Our ministries
provide food, clothing, medical care, legal counsel, jail ministry,
and pastoral care.

The Capuchin Province of St. Joseph stretches from Michigan…to
Montana…and into Central America. We work quietly, striving
to make a difference in people’s lives. Capuchins are committed
to the Franciscan tradition of walking with and serving all as our
brothers and sisters, particularly those on the margins of society.
We are striving to build a world that is more just…more peaceful…and
environmentally sustainable. We are trying to make a difference.
We cannot accomplish our mission alone. We welcome volunteers.
We welcome donors. We welcome benefactors. We welcome you.
